Why Millennials Aren't Growing Up
U.S. News & World Report
You're also hearing a lot about them living in their parents' basements, being slackers, never being able to grow up.
Billy R Bennett's insight:

A case for thinking differently about Millennials and the very different mix of work development needs.  The term "emerging adulthood" is interesting.  It seems that a combination of forces (focus on education and the net just to name a couple) have lengthened the time it takes current youth to emerge into full adulthood - as defined by previous generations.

Want to Predict the Future? Get a 13-Year-Old Mentor

Want to Predict the Future? Get a 13-Year-Old Mentor | Global Organization Trends | Scoop.it
Inc. asked future-focused experts how to make money in 2013 (and beyond). Intel's in-house futurist says you'd be wise to look in junior high school.
Billy R Bennett's insight:

I'm lucky.  Mackenzie is my resident pre-teen.   Adam is correct, watching her connect to her world is fascinating...but watching her little sister (age 4) is amazing.  The skills that we have acquired via structured learning they are developing intuitively.  If a 4 year old can manipulate every part of her environment (I know, what 4 year old can't!)...remotely...what is possible when she is 13...or 20.

Our organizations are not prepared to provide learning at the rainfo re next generations will demand it.  We also are not prepared to profit from this immense capacity.   Many organizations are seeking ways to slow them down or stop the progress.  How about you?
